Epicondylitis (elbow pain)

Why do I get elbow pain?

Repetitive, often forceful motions in the forearm and wrist (e.g., golf, tennis, computer use, painting). Elbow pain can include lateral and medial epicondylitis, which involves the inner and outer part of the elbow, respectively.

Will my pain go away?

Most people with elbow pain get better within a few months. Treatment can speed up recovery while reducing pain and improving function.

What can I do?

To help speed up recovery, it is important for you to participate in your care with your healthcare provider. In addition, continue day-to-day activities even if you experience some pain (within reason).
